Frequently asked

What are the rules for Pig Latin?

Words starting with a vowel just get "way" added to the end ("apple" becomes "appleway"). Words starting with consonants have their leading consonant cluster moved to the end, followed by "ay" ("pig" becomes "igpay", "string" becomes "ingstray").

Does punctuation get preserved?

Yes, punctuation and spacing are left exactly where they were. Only the letters within each word are rearranged.

What happens to capitalization?

If a word started with a capital letter, the translated word keeps its first letter capitalized too, so "Hello" becomes "Ellohay", not "ellohay".

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. The translation happens entirely in your browser.
