Frequently asked
How is EMI calculated?
Using the standard reducing-balance formula: E = P·r·(1+r)^n / ((1+r)^n − 1), where P is the loan amount, r is the monthly interest rate, and n is the number of monthly installments.
Does this account for processing fees or insurance?
No. This is the EMI on the principal and interest only. Lenders often add a one-time processing fee and may bundle insurance, which aren't reflected here.
Why does my bank's EMI differ slightly from this?
Small differences usually come from rounding conventions or the exact date your EMI cycle starts. The formula itself is standard across banks.
Is my loan information sent anywhere?
No. Everything is calculated in this tab. Nothing you enter is sent to a server.
