Frequently asked

Is my file uploaded to your servers?

No. Metadata is read and rewritten in this tab. Nothing is sent anywhere.

What counts as PDF metadata?

The document properties most PDF readers show under "Properties" or "Document Info". Title, Author, Subject, Keywords, and the Creator/Producer application names. It's separate from the visible page content.

Why would I want to change or remove this?

The author name or originating software in a PDF's metadata can reveal more than you intend before sharing a document. Clearing it is a quick privacy pass.

Does this change how the PDF looks or reads?

No. Only the metadata fields change. Every page's content is untouched.

Does this work offline?

Yes, once the page has loaded.
