Frequently asked
How is this different from the GST Invoice Generator?
The GST Invoice Generator splits tax into CGST + SGST, for sales within the same state. This one shows a single IGST column instead, for inter-state sales, and adds a Place of Supply field — the field that actually determines which of the two applies under Indian GST law.
When should I use IGST instead of CGST + SGST?
IGST applies when the seller and the place of supply are in different states (or for exports). CGST + SGST applies when both are in the same state. Only one of the two is ever charged on a given invoice, never both.
Does this calculate the IGST rate for me?
No. Enter whatever IGST rate applies to each line item (the GST Calculator tool can help work out the amount if you only know the rate).
Is my invoice data uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is generated entirely in your browser.
